2012 - Last Race!

Congratulations to each and everyone of you for such a fantastic and successful race weekend!
Wow...where to start with our successes?
First we had our magical "best time EVER" with our 2:13 and we got to savour that for a few hours and then it turned into our "BEST TIME EVER!!" with the more accurate 2:23.
Then we maintained our status in the CHAMPIONSHIP non-profit cup race -- as in, we didn't go back down to B Divsion.
THEN we medaled SILVER with a consistent 2:23 in K Division -- a new division for us.
Some of you asked how many divisions there are: this year the lowest division was R.
Some of you asked what we did in our first year: we finished first in S Division with a time of 2:57.
We even slipped one year to T Division.
We proved we are now a consistent 2:23 team.
AND....wait for it....we BEAT Children's Bridge's final race time by 3 seconds!!!
I am, once again, so proud of this team. You are all so great!
This crew worked hard this season and everyone's efforts truly paid off this weekend.

Sadly, this marks the end of our 10th season. I always find the Sunday evening a little bit sad as we have had such a nice weekend together. I've said it many times but, I love this team and I love how we are improving each year. It is exciting to watch us evolve and I look forward to the next 10 years and the new changes that will happen...starting with our first "young'uns" joining us next year.
We can only get better.
Stay tuned for our fall dinner -- to be held on a Saturday this year, based on suggestions made last year.
