FERRY TICKETS:
These need to be purchased prior to the festival. At first practice (unless I have a
volunteer beforehand??!), I will be looking for a volunteer to purchase and pick up
ferry tickets on behalf of the team. The costs of the tickets are as follows: $7.00 adults, $3.50 for kids under 14, $4.50 for Seniors/Students, and free for children under 2. You should order tickets for yourself and your family members. Each paddler will need two adult tickets - one per day (cost of $14.00). We will need to order your ticket about 3 weeks before the festival.
RACE TIMES:
We will not know the time of our first race on Saturday, until the week of the festival. Plan to possibly have to catch the 7:00 am ferry on Saturday. We will have a total of 4 races (2 per day). We will hopefully not have to race as early on Sunday morning. Plan to be at the Island both days, in full.
LUNCH:
As we have done in the past, we will be organizing lunch assignments for both race days – a sort of pot-luck set-up. Robin has kindly agreed to organize this last year. Each person will be assigned an item. We always have plenty of food for all paddlers and their family members. If you don’t want to contribute that is OK just let the organizer know that you will bring your own food.
